Long Varoul-Varial block uses for NDT ultrasonic training in conformity with IS US 319.21. This block helps understanding the reflectivity of volume and non-volumetric defects.

The shaped of nothes simulating non volumetric discontinuities are oriented at 30°. Dynamic waveforms are the Varial type, ie, with a dynamic echo shredded.

The side of drills holes are used for the discrimination of volumetric defects. The waveforms are the Varoul type with a dynamic echo-bell shaped.
